Impressive results from Working Party
Waterhouses Junction, Daisy Nook Country Park, with a much tidier off-side bank after the Canal Society's latest working party.

In spite of the weather, which was gloomy, although mostly dry, the team of volunteers managed to complete the work, started last winter, of cutting back vegetation hanging out over (and into) the canal from the off-side. In places the overhanging boughs reached almost to the towpath and it was almost a surprise to see just how wide the canal is in this area!
