Guided walk at an easy pace to see and hear about the surprising number of historic features in this small section of the Droylsden to Hollinwood canal and hear some of the history of the canal and the area. Yesterday, we had a work party at Daisy Nook. The short pound between the former tunnel and the Medlock Aqueduct was the focus of our attention, having become very overgrown over the last few years. Many thanks to members of waterway recovery group (nw) and IWA Manchester Branch for their assistance.
