Yesterday, we had a work party at Daisy Nook. The short pound between the former tunnel and the Medlock Aqueduct was the focus of our attention, having become very overgrown over the last few years. Many thanks to members of waterway recovery group (nw) and IWA Manchester Branch for their assistance.

Just a reminder that we have a work party at Daisy Nook this coming Saturday (5th November), where hopefully (subject to water levels) we will be able to complete the clearance works on the spillway channel (otherwise we'll be tackling the tree growth along the canal channels).
Meet at the cafe car park, 9-30 for 10am start.
